Interesting article by CNN !!!!!

" Oleg Kalugin, a former KGB agent who posed as a diplomat in the US during the Cold War, wrote in his memoir, "Attempting to show that America was inhospitable to Jews, we wrote anti-Semitic letters to American Jewish leaders. My fellow officers paid agents to paint swastikas on synagogues in New York and Washington. Our New York station even hired people to desecrate Jewish cemeteries."
Today's online trolls can achieve the same effect, working to exploit and inflame racial, ethnic and religious tensions in the US, without ever leaving St. Petersburg.
Weisman says the US forgot, when Putin was elected president of Russia, that he was a "KGB guy." We'd do well not to forget again, he said."

As Trump so well knows, KGB means KGB !uh oh

Yes, the Soviet Bloc and its security services tried to destabilize non-communist nations during the Cold War, just as our security services did behind the Iron Curtain. This is how the game is played.

The OP has shown many times in many threads, however, that he is unable (or unwilling) to accept that the Cold War is over. Sure, the Russians and the Americans are still spying on each other (as are the British, the Chinese, the French, the Israelis, and everyone else), and playing their little games, but so what? Russia is no longer our enemy. Get used to it.

True, I realize now how tenuous the hold on reality can be. The power of disinformation. The pen is mightier than the sword. The unchallenged lie mightier than both of them.

Of course KGB means KGB ... well, it does in Russia and other parts of the world that are not so stupid as to try and rewrite history!

The RELEVANCE of the KGB though is only historical ... poor dumb ole raphael doesn't seem to know that the Former Soviet Union ceased to exist 20 years ago.

As for Russia having the CURRENT organisation called the FSB ... well, the USA outnumbers the world in the number of 'murky secret agencies' known by 3 and 4 letter acronyms !

Liberals ... more laughs per minute than the best of The Muppet Show !

KGB has had many names in the past, like the Gepeo.
Putin was one of their agents in the past. He might show a friendly face to the world, but don't think he forgets the kgb-ways of torturing prisoners or killing journalists.

Yes the KGB still exists and always did after the end of the cold war and the splitting up of the USSR as it was put in a tall tower where the supporters of the KGB knew where it was hidden and when mr Putin came to power he went and kissed the sleeping ugly and brought it back to life as he and his friends could use it to regain full power and to try to regain all the countries the USSR lost.
