raphael119: I felt that way too in the 90's until 2008. Crimea, Ukraine, and Putins nuclear threats Putins nuclear threats
brought me back to reality.
No. Putin brought you to an evident paranoia.

'As a Loony Lib no different from all other of my ilk, I'm devastated by the fact that the US Liberal Engineered Coup against the legitimate Govt of Ukraine was partially derailed because the people of Crime acted quickly, organised a referendum and agreed by an overwhelming majority to rejoin the Russian Federation

I'm also entirely ignorant of the fact that The Ukraine was NOT in fact a single country but a smaller federation of states, but anyway, in my opinion, there's no place on earth that is entitled to hold it's own views on anything - 'American Democracy' means doing as you're told by the US!

Furthermore I'm really p*ssed that Putin has shown such massive self control over the last 20 years of being disrespected by the USA. It PARTICULARLY irks me that he's led Russia and the Russian people 'back from the grave' that was the goal of Regan and he's successfully (with the support of the Russian people) rebuilt the nation from a 'written off rustbucket' to a successful modern hi-tech nation with better infrastructure and social conditions than are available in the US and the fact that we spend more than the next eight nations on warfare has nothing to do with anything...'

Many people are ignorant about the Crimea, such as believing they voted to rejoin Russia, I lived and worked in Sevastopol for a long time, Sevastopol has a Russian Navy port, hated by the locals, almost every local who I spoke to considered themselves Ukrainian, not Russian. The vote was rigged, which is why Putin had to use force to take control.
The Crimea thought that the EU and USA would intervein and stop Putin, but the west just stood to one side and did nothing.

Lesson there about giving up nukes , why I don't think NK would ever give up theirs , sure did not turn out well for South Africa either .

Putin has robbed the Russian people of most of the nations wealth.
Russia is a dilapidated gas station to the outside world. No one wants their gas either.

Opiod Crisis! Great topic. Start a thread on it. I hate crooked pharma and their problems go back decades. Meanwhile give back the Crimea you seized from the people.

I can only guess you're a victim of the opioid crisis yourself ?

But, NOBODY wants their gas ... typical dumbed down American believes what he reads in the Dumbed Down US Lame stream media eh !

Several prominent EU leaders in Merkel have said that Russian gas is essential for European Energy Security and they're not going to give it up just so they can pay exorbitant prices to the US Mafia...
