Butcher559: Is there any info on his guns ? did he buy a new gun from guncity Christchruch ?
I think he had 2 AR 15s and 2 shotguns, don't know what 5th gun was.
I saw the magazines he had and they looked like 20 to 30 bullet mags, his guns would have been pretty hot after rattling off that many shots and the gun could start jamming up.
If he used a brand new gun it wouldn't handle the heat and jammed up, new gun needs to be run in like a new car.
Make sure you guys guard your mind. What goes in, placed on your mind stream cannot be erased; when the conditions turn up the seeds of your tomorrows will ripen. I am suggesting do not marvel at certain buildings or listen to there bla bla off switch should be used, do not listen to calls to bla bla or anything smilar.

Some folks simply do things more mindful people wouldn't do, like entering Muslim mosques, or listening to other belief's prays, some folks guard the mind with good reason. Like in without causes = nothingness.

Western Europe trip, in late 2016, Tarrant visited Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Croatia, where he stopped by historic battle sites, Bulgarian Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov told Reuters.
He returned to the region in November 2018 to tour historic sites of Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
Tarrant also visited Turkey "multiple times and spent an extended period of time in the country"
His suspended Facebook page also showed a post from Pakistan in 2018

Post Fraser Anning thread #57
Brenton Tarrant purchased guns from Gun City the shops owner David Tipple said the alleged gunman bought four weapons and ammunition between December 2017 and March 2018.

“The MSSA, military-style automatic, reportedly used by the alleged gunman was not purchased from Gun City. Gun City did not sell him an MSSA, only A-category firearms

A-category weapons can be semi-automatic but limited to seven shots. Video of a gunman in one mosque showed a semi-automatic with a large magazine round.

Given Trade-Me has just now banned the sale of semi automatic weapons it sounds like he may have purchased a gun with big barrel magazine that could fire automatically and or he modified it.

charles_nz: I'm a cautious person, and I do not like to rush to assumptions.
Yet your posts would suggest otherwise, you have dismissed the majority of reports that he was a right wing extremist, because that goes against your own agenda, you have agreed with the posts that have spread gossip and unproven "facts" that are supporting your well published point of view.
So in my opinion, you have indeed, rushed in and support only those points that carry your own opinion of Islam and immigration, rather than look at the whole picture and wait to see what further information is forthcoming.

charles_nz: Not to me, it's not.

Given that he has engaged in an action seemingly deliberately designed to create sympathy and support for immigrant and refugee communities, given that he has struck a blow against gun rights and against freedom of speech, and given various other statements he has made (such as praising Communist China) it seems to me far from certain where his loyalties lie.
By that logic you could argue ISIS was made to create sympathy and support for Trump and you could argue liberals support open borders to destroy liberalism and create a popular backlash. The result of mass immigration has been to make the right much stronger particularly the social conservatives but that's an unintended consequence. I've been begging the left to not blow both its own feet off with a shotgun for half my life in no way did the vast majority of left predict that the outcome of open borders is you and this.

And if Trump's wall works the unintended consequence of that will be democrats. If you solve any migration problems you're at the same time removing the reason people voted for you. 20 years from now America will be more left-wing if it does build the wall than it would be if it doesn't, all of western civilisation would be much more left-wing today had it never opted for mass immigration.

Conrad73: Irks you that he considers the PRC the Worldly Paradise, hmm?
Not really, why would it? Like most small and narrow minded people, he only knows life from fake sites and embellished news reports, as he has never been to China, he has a distorted opinion.
Without doubt he is the epitome of a right wing supporter. But then, you already knew that Conrad

For 80% the problem is the immigrants. Especially in the heartlands.

The southern English and east and west coast republicans are more textbook right-wing. Immigrants are a means to lower taxes and wages about 20% of Brexit dreams of a British tax haven but if Reagan was alive today he'd be called an open-border traitor by the 80%. Reagan is closer to Macron than Trump and Thatcher would be stamping on yellow vests without remorse. About 20% know what Reagan really was and secretly wish Trump was the same. It's not the immigrants per se and they're not actually interested in resolving the problem of that, the hope is that during the confusion and division their taxes get lowered.

Totally agree with you, just put a rope round their necks and hang them, it's the cheapest way.

NZ gun laws are changing this week NZ government in panic mode, they should panic more and pull out a execution law to reassure the people we don't put up with terrorists.

well, we have a law that people can't have any weapon at home, but due to the open borders there are very much people who own a weapon. Mostly they are bought in eastern Europe.
It's also easy to have someone killed, just hire a murderer in Macedonia, he comes to the Netherlands by car, shoots and returns.
Open borders, it is a disaster.

But by the elections yesterday the anti-immigration party who is also anti Europe and open borders won the senate. So I am hoping for a good change.

snowlynx: The mainstream media did indeed mention his travelling. Western media I'm talking about.
I understand what you are saying, but I think you are missing context that it was written as I think you'll find the page (only part posted here) is trying to convey, "that Brendon Tarrant had traveled all over the world while somehow while doing that he collected military-grade firearms and was stockpiling them in New Zealand. The writer went to say we are not supposed to know that part of the story."! In other words suggested evidence elsewhere, which wouldn't surprise me.

I don't know that the statement has any bases is factual or not.
Other aspect they raised the NZ Stuff News reporting of young christians converting at same mosque then getting killed in Yemen..interesting.

I posted the above post in part because I had already determined that Brendon Tarrant, not having military training and without support, could not have made IED's and put together that sought of attack.
Also the image of him in hand cuffs displaying a bulls-eye jester, suggests he was communicating to someone.
His travel dates indicate a very busy person who sent mail-outs to awful lot of people by the sounds of it after he had already lunched his attack. Seems all very unlikely and the above post raises some interesting points.

This thread as a collection of information being complied for later reference in an endeavor to form a reasonable idea what actually occurred. Bound up in time

You made some good points Rob, i was wondering if anyone was going to see the NK embassy in Spain. There were 2 guys in that breakin linked to the CIA, the CIA either getting sloppy in their work or they are rubbing it in the face of the world that the US can get away with anything.

Straight up NZ government involvment i don't think so, but NZ government covering up for another countries speical OPs most likely.

Spanish authorities have confirmed they are investigating a reported attack on the North Korean Embassy in Madrid, a spokesperson for Spain's National Police told CNN.
The alleged incident, which was reported to have taken place on February 22, was carried out by 10 people carrying fake firearms who entered the compound and interrogated and beat up people inside, according to the Spanish newspaper

While details are thin, it appears likely that intelligence services were involved

Third, until late 2017 the North Korean embassy in Spain was headed by Kim Hyok Chol, a North Korean diplomat who since early 2019 has been in charge of negotiations with the U.S. on the nuclear issues — serving, essentially, as a counterpart to Stephen Biegun.

According to reports by El Pais and El Confidencial, two Spanish news outlets, local police have come to suspect that the embassy attack was somehow linked to the CIA.

The alleged involvement of men with ties to the CIA was first reported in the Spanish daily El Pais. According to El Pais‘ sources, the men that attacked the embassy may have been looking for information on North Korean diplomat Kim Hyok-chol, who had served as North Korea’s ambassador to Spain until he was expelled in 2017. Kim has also been one of the leading officials involved in the negotiations with the U.S. over the last year.

What happened?

Local media reports that on the afternoon of 22 February, a group of 10 people broke into North Korea's embassy, north-west of the Spanish capital's centre.

According to El Confidencial (in Spanish), the assailants gagged and tied up staff members, and took a number of computers.

One woman managed to get free, escaping through a second floor window and screaming for help. Concerned neighbours quickly called the police.

But when officers arrived they were greeted by an Asian man at the door who reassured them that all was well and nothing had happened.

Minutes later, the man and the other attackers sped away from the embassy at full speed in two North Korean diplomatic vehicles.
