I had a male Boston Terrier when I was a teenager. When I was 17 our apt building was sold to the US Postal Service and it was torn down to build a new huge post office. We had to move. We moved into a housing project in Long Island City because we were poor and had no other choice. "Jackie" wasn't allowed in the project so my mother gave him away. She never told us though and said he must have sensed that he wasn't wanted and ran away. Jackie slept on a stuffed chair in the living room. Sometimes I would take his head in my hands and kiss him on the top of his head, he never seemed to mind.

I have 9 big dogs.. They're horrible bed hogs, and wrap my blankets around them, leaving me shivering when I wake up. So, I keep my bed 4' off the floor, so no dogs can get on it.
I also have 5 cats. It's hard for me to sleep, without at least one of em purring beside me.

I did back in the day when we had cute little dogs, but the last 14 1/2 years we had a Lab and big dogs are kinda gross, like she ate mud and sometimes her own poo, dripped water and drool, no way did I want her that close, lol.

I breed and train American Bulladors as service dogs.And it's expensive.
But the going rate online is $1,000 for an 8 week old pup.

I love animals. I did own a golden labrador in my younger days. It didn’t worry me when he’d lick my face unexpectedly. He slept on my bed as a puppy but moved to under the bed, when I lived with my partner.
These days, I have a cat. She sleeps with me most nights. I enjoy her company.
