What are the benefits of eating meat? Health benefits. Meat, poultry, fish, dry beans and peas, eggs, nuts, and seeds supply many nutrients. These include protein, B vitamins (niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, and B6), vitamin E, iron, zinc, and magnesium. Proteins function as building blocks for bones, muscles, cartilage, skin, and blood.
Vegitarians would argue with this, some not eating fish and eggs, saying that vegeables are more healthy and ethical.
Heifer whines could be human cries Closer comes the screaming knife This beautiful creature must die This beautiful creature must die A death for no reason And death for no reason is MURDER And the flesh you so fancifully fry Is not succulent, tasty or kind It is death for no reason And death for no reason is MURDER And the calf that you carve with a smile Is MURDER And the turkey you festively slice Is MURDER Do you know how animals die? Kitchen aromas aren't very homely It's not "comforting", "cheery" or "kind" It's sizzling blood and the unholy stench Of MURDER It's not "natural", "normal" or kind The flesh you so fancifully fry The meat in your mouth As you savour the flavour Of MURDER NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER NO, NO, NO, IT'S MURDER Who hears when animals cry?

They say the live stock screams before they get the bolt. They can smell the blood, but the supermarket sanitizes things, and i still like steak
Everytime I hunt, I ask myself the same questions.
Which is why I hunt.
I don't question myself as much if I buy it already cooked, or wrapped in nice clean packing.
I think everyone who eats meat, should hunt for it every now and then...
It feels like it's disonest to eat meat, without ever even killing it.
One day I might become a vegetarian. Not as likely if all I see of meat comes in glorified "Happy Meals."
Meat doesn't come in yellow wrappers.
And you can't be thankful for the life you take when you eat meat, or have the same consciousness of your place in the circle of life, if you always pay someone else to kill it for you.
There are carnivores, herbivores and omnivores. Humans are omnivores but we have a choice to give our body everything it needs to sustain itself or take the high mighty holier-than-thou road and not give the body a portion of what it needs... Vegetarians make the latter choice and, as far as I'm concerned, that's their business, their life and their bodies... But the line stops at my choices and my body. I draw the line from the time the vegans try to cram their beliefs down my throat. All those vegans protesting meat and threatening the lives and livelihood of farmers and butchers are, to me, nothing but anti-democratic bullies and tyrannical ideologues.
I'll eat meat if I want to. I'll hunt it if I want to and I'll eat it with vegetables and mushroom sauce if I want to. If vegans don't like it well that's too bad. "Don't cram your beliefs down my throat." We've heard that from everyone who is anti-christian for decades. It's about time they apply the same concept to themselves.
