When talking via cs messaging, without knowing the person quite yet, we tend to jump to conclusions, but haven't gathered all the pertinent information yet.

Words sometimes say more. Read between the lines. Yes you don't get it the first or second time, but by the third or fourth you have the hang on how they think.

Are people becoming more stupid, by the next birth, if we take the past as examples?

Is it impatience, assumption, ego, etc?
You decide?

i think it's ego. we all bring our own frame of reference to each experience, which tends to tint the lenses we are looking through. if one doesn't take the time to really observe beyond themselves, then really...mostly what they are doing is projecting. even when one knows another well, text messaging can easily be misunderstood (much the same way as thread posts...)
when in doubt, listen and practice kindness. i've been misunderstood on here many times in my attempt to be epigrammatic. no now i ramble......

In real life, you feel the people, here it takes awhile, and some definitely tries to not be themselves, so you can forget to find anything pertinent, during those times.
Here I have found, most people are not themselves, while some really don't know themselves, and you know them better, if you know how to interpret the signals, calling out for help.

i think what one posts always reflects a part of themselves....and that self may be in transition. with trolls and purposeful manipulators....that can take a lot of time. but with enough time, i do think folks get an idea of who someone is.
and sometimes, i just think mirror...mirror... and notice what part of me is being reflected back to me or triggered.
even in real life, folks only show you the part they want you to see. it's in those unguarded moments that information falls through the cracks so one becomes aware of it. i think it's wise to practice regulated vulnerablilty....(grin).
re: interpreting the signals. weelll.... i suck at that anyways (rl or on line)....

Mirrors, reading between the lines, most people are a closed book, that takes a while to unravel.
i'll go one better...I can tie a whole slew of associations together and build a whole story that probably doesn't even have a thread of truth to it.....

I think that most people (including me) after a few lines think: Well, I know it by now, and they don't want to follow the whole story. Most of the times there's so much happening in the world, we don't have the time to get to the bottom of one subject, afraid we're missing other subjects. Due to multimedia, internet, over 100 tv-channels etc. there's too much information available and we can't decide whatever is most important, unless it's in our own area.

me, too!
reading between the lines just becomes a whole creative process for me....
