oops, forgot to write: By giving them bodycams they have to behave themselves, for everything will be recorded. So I hope they all got to wear them while doing their filthy work.

Wow! Those cops ARE bad cops, the should definately wear body cams but because they are dirty cops their actions would be captured/revealed
I have great respect for police, as they do a job and put themselves in situations I would never want to be in myself. Many are responsible and do their job with integrity. That said, there are always those few bad apples who, once issued a weapon and a badge, develop a God complex. Those are the ones I like to remind who pays their salary when they start getting an attitude. (They like it when you're interested in the state budget)
Do I think cops should wear body cams at all times when they're on the job? Yes. It keeps them honest.

Friskyone: Should police officers wear body cameras? Hear are 3 pro's and cons examples. What is your opinion?
Pro #1.: The cameras increase the safety of the public and the police
Pro #2.: The cameras improve accountability and protect officers from false accusations of misconduct.
Pro #3.: They are a good tool for learning and have strong support from members of the public.
Con #1.: The cameras decrease the safety of the officers and negatively affect their physical/mental health
Con #2.: The cameras invade the privacy of citizens, expose victims and witnesses of crimes and damage police-public relationships
Con #3.: The cameras are too expensive and are unreliable
More of a general point about how the surveillance state makes people more suspicious and less honest. In a confession booth it's just you and the priest and that's kind of the point. Surveillance will catch people out but it will also drive people into hiding, hiding in plain sight.

There aren't many places in the UK that a camera isn't watching, I have CCTV and i have just found out the policecan ask to see footage, with just cause, fair enough they are supposed to be on my side.
I just glanced up at the monitor and it's a glorious day

In the past after the pubs closed often lots of young people were fighting. The cops stayed in their car till the fight was over and only then started helping the wounded. Policemen are sissies.
