i think kindness and compassion, and focusing on the similarities rather than the differences, are a way to relate to others. all folks have things in common. i have visited other countries where the language is different, as are the customs and culture, basic beliefs. but i have found through a mutual generosity of spirit, that kindness serves to create connections.
