galrads: This is a Thread for those who like to talk about Vietnam a lot.
I rarely join the discussion of Vietnam because anyone who had never been to Vietnam has more opinion. Let it be has been my opinion.
I am also a by product of the tragedy of war and volunteered and served in Vietnam.
My impression, not opinion, is America lost the war to its own internal disunity and division, not to the enemy.
Human invented the war a day after the God invented human out of clay.
War has been the culprit of the tragedy as well as the motivating factor of our civilization.
Don't ever start the war again unless we are determined to finish the game with whatever the cost is like Roman had accomplished. Weapon in one hand and egalitarian idealism in another hand does not work.
It is to kill or to be killed. The winner gets the glory always in history.
It was waste.

Thanks for contributing. There are several Vietnam vets on CS. My late bro served in Nam. I am a Vietnam era vet but luckily I served elsewhere.
