The gardens are at the top level of the cities...
Nothing connects the cities, but flying cars and people...
Food is cultivated per city, in the enormous gardens...
Water comes from condensation, rain, hail, snow, etc...
Oxygen comes from the gardens too...
When the air is too full of CO2, it is released into the contaminated atmosphere outside...
The cities of the future, full of electronics and joy...

Struggling to see the joy in that. Hooked into a pleasure tube down in the basement of a domed city on an earth rendered uninhabitable to mankind with a billion other rat people? Apartheid set your standards low in life.

How many people go outside to enjoy themselves, it will be no different using an indoor huge garden, and what about everyone using the Internet to entertain themselves. Some will have a permanent hook-up, where they can just change over to whatever "channel"...

They had the same dream of the future 60 years ago, except the domed cities were on Mars. The flying cars are nothing new although they didn't happen--optimism about energy sources proved unrealistic. Global Warming is this decade's nonsense (or was that last decade?).

We all think and dream. If everybody was honest, and we added all the bits and pieces, we will have the full idea, and story, of what will happen in the future...
