Ok. Recently I received an message in my inbox as to why would I dare list my phone number in my profile.
I said 'Whaaa?' and the messenger said I was crazy for listing my phone number in my profile's by-line.
I immediately reread my profile and figured out what she was talking about. My by-line.
I was going to explain to her that its not a phone number per se..... but rather a play on numeric symbols as letters … challenging creative awareness...which I thought was rather clever.. but then I thought... maybe I can have some fun with this.
So I decided to call the number. I mean... What the heck, right?
When it was answered I was taken somewhat off guard as I didn't think of what I was going to say... . so I just asked for... "Ned Stark". Yeah, I know pretty lame but that was all I could think of off the cuff.
The guy on the other end yelled... "I am NOT Ned Stark! Like this had been an ongoing recognition problem he was having all his life or this was the thousandth time someone had called his number for Ned Stark.
So now I tell everyone who messages me... to give me a call or text … if they can find my number hidden somewhere in my profile; and simply ask for Ned, Ned Stark.

Whoa! Profile views up 275 and a flurry of traffic in my message box.
THATS how its done!
