well, it was not all political voting, and the boo-ing after greece and cyprus gave each other 12 points said a lot. I only watched the end of the show, the voting, and afterwards when the Netherlands had to sing again, first time ever I heard the song, and it's not great, but, beacuse I didn't heard the other songs, it might have been the best of the rest... If the UK would have send Led Zeppelin in the past with songs like Kashmir, Since I've been loving you and such stuff, (only short 3 minute versions) they would have won it far out. The UK have had many talented musicians over the years and almost always they choose to send in someone nobody knows. Why not send Kate Bush next year? Many people love her and I bet she will receive many votes (mostly from the older people that are watching), maybe even win. I would vote for her.
MisterForYou: I'm delighted to say I didn't watch it. The day I watch Eurovision I will stab myself in both eyes with a fork as punishment for the folly.

By the way, why is Israel invited for many years now? Only because they pay. But also they join the European championsleague. Israel ain't a part of Europe, I fIsrael can join, why not also invite Palestina. Make a political statement that what Israël is doing against the Palestinian people is wrong and that we don't tolerate it no longer. Let teh Eurovision Songcontest be the stage where they go for peace for ever, that war is going on for more than 70 years now...
I have never watched it. To me its a total turnoff and undemocratic when BBC 1 forces it on ALL viewers for the whole evening, It should be relegated to BBC 2 or 3 for the Yob culture, Lager swillers & Take away couch potatoes who must view such mind rotting garbage.

aries1234: It was a EU fix
nonsense, just because of the Brexit? Believe me, a lot of countries hope you'll get through and come out better than being a member of the EU for many more years, for then other west-european countries will also leave the EU.

I regard the Eurovision event as a binding thing and as a necessity for countries that argue and fight among thenselves so much.
I can’t make up my mind where I want to see Eurovision 2020 but it is going to happen in one of these places: Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Arnhem, or Maastricht,
