smiley963: When something goes wrong, You need to share it, to tell about the bad experience, to take the load off your back.
If you don't share it, it festers, and becomes, like a septic wound, that is not cleansed.
It's up to you weather you think you've had a bad experiance, the bad experiance maybe all in your mind. When we lose out on anything its a bad thing, that comes with the greeed all humans have. I don't know if talking about it makes any difference.

That's my thinking too! It's all a matter of perception whether the experience was good or bad. I usually try to find humour in any experience.
there is a difference between talking/venting and dumping......in discussing you're just kind of getting it out and in dumping you're handing it off to someone else to process for you and you feel better while someone else is stuck processing the emotions for you and they are now completely drained....i guess the difference is the emotional blast put behind it.....

Yes, there is a very big difference, and everyone always writes that I mean the worst, just to cause trouble...

Talking/venting and dumping your problems on someone else is sharing your misery around, and really you want that person to feel sorry for you. If you get problems right in your own self and working it out for yourself is an education to yourself, and if the same problem arises again it will be much easier to deal with the next time round.

I don't agree.....dumping your problems yes...because it means you're dumping them in someone else rather than handling them yourself...discussing and venting just wanting to be heard is a part of any relationship....that's what communication is all about...sharing....I talk to people because I enjoy talking to them and in the course of conversation we discuss a lot of things....that's what friends do....

its not about that...its about allowing it to bother you in any way and the importance you attach to it...
