Friskyone: Where I live, we have beautiful mountains too. It's cool to see the snow covered mountains in the winter. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Great to go hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, snowboarding or river rafting. When the season changes, the leaves and flowers are so vibrant and beautiful. The air is so fresh in the mountains.
I've been through there several times when I was a driver.. Pretty country.. The Smokey mountains are just down the road from me

That's cool. Also, when we have the balloon fiesta it is so cool to look at all the balloons in the sky while the mountains are in the background.

Oh man, I went up once and I have a fear of heights. Big mistake. You can feel the basket you're in, moving back and forth, very wobbly and I ended up sitting down in it while the pilot was sitting on the edge of it with one leg in and one hanging out. I was freaking out!We also have a tram that travels up and down the mountain. There's two very nice restaurants, one at the bottom of the mountain and another at the top with gorgeous views but too scared to want to have dinner there. I've done it only once.

Yeah unfortunately there are also many forest fires here. Burning thousands of acres sometimes. People losing their homes, their lives, their pets and livestock sometimes too.Very sad
