When Brexit happens, will the dominant slacker youths in England have to get a job or will mum or daddy or some middle eastern church support their chronic lethargic attitudes?

In a way, yes. But it might end badly. 1958 to 2008 were basically a joke 50 years the desire of most youth is to be born when you were. They know you attended the workplace back then but they also know it wasn't really work, uni was free and if you bought a house that would almost always include a great free lunch. They'd like to repeat that period of pretending you're worth twice as much and borrowing the difference.

Sounded like they might invite Donald to manage Britain's economy !!
American educated (I think) Boris might become Donald's ambassador !!

Perhaps for a change the UK will install an honest person as PM, (that would be different automatically disqualify May & Boris) Britain might signe up to the One Belt Initiative. Hold hands with France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany outside the EU....!! wave

Well you tell us, galrads, you seem to be more of an expert on what happens in England than its residents.

ChesneyChrist: They have to be more like the immigrants I suppose. More law-abiding for less benefit, more work for less pay.

But your kids are not immigrants. You dislike the best man for the job because there's a high chance it's a foreigner who will leave you out of one - you're accustomed to a certain standard of life and free time that can not in the final analysis compete with developing world gratitude. But this distaste for merit must not be a reason to disrespect your own kids. The first thing the private sector did to survive in 2008 was sack the over 50. To jettison the overpaid obese who remember to many of the good old days when work wasn't really work.

Funny remark, all coming out would do is stop free movement of people, they would have to apply for Visa and also need to have work to come to, not have free benifits housing and schooling. Most countries have that policy or how would we know how many schools, housing docs were needed.confused

Also coming out more benifits than downside. Kids could train to build up what we sold out to EU many moons ago.

I agree we need new government altogether than the top 3 corrupt lot

Anyway what I would say that EU or not Britain is closer to America. Conditions for life and rates of youth unemployment in Britain closer to America and leagues away from France.

I don't know what you are thinking of when you call the government corrupt, EX, but why would any other government be any less "corrupt"?

And I also contend that there's a millennial quarter who could give the greatest generation a run for their money. A new savviness, level-headedness and staying power. The silliness and decadence begot the fall of 2008 buy this deterioration is creating people who tear themselves from nothing. No inheritance but debt is the spur to do better.

Well, how did Britain survive before the EU took over your lives and opportunities for your posterity? Less government is the best answer for less socialism and more family life. wave

In my humble opinion we did fine, but then sold fishing , steel ship building farming down the river. We did not have to keep terrorists in prison for years supporting his family too. Nor did we have to rename food to name but a few things.

The qualities required to get to the top in politics, EX, are rarely found in a man that feels a stronger duty towards the interests of his fellow citizens than he feels towards his own. dunno

I bet the UK will make great deals with countries out of the EU for buying and selling stuff, and the country is very touristic, so I bet they won't have much problems after the Brexit, I think they'll even will be happy after the Brexit is a fact, allthough it might cost them several years to get in the good position again.

Harbal: I used to collect the golliwog badges when I was a kid. I can see why black people might be offended by them though. I don't suppose you would like it much if Robertson's put a bald headed half wit on their jars.
What is a golliwog badge

On Robertson's jam and marmalade jars there was a little paper golliwog tucked behind the label. You had to collect ten paper golliwogs and send them to Robertson's. Then they would send you a golly badge.
