We have all had uninvited guests at awkward times...
Do you:- - Tell them to get lost? - Provide them with something to drink at least first, before giving them the boot? - Invite them in, and lay out the red carpet treatment? - Or What do you do?

Always put on your coat when answering the door, so if it's someone you like tell them you just come in, if it's someone you don't like tell them sorry I'm just going out.....

Though I have had guests (uninvited) at awkward times, normally, people call first. On the rare occasion they don't call first, I never tell them to get lost. If I'm super busy, I simply let them know & they come back later/another day. Otherwise - if I'm not super busy - I do invite them in & roll out the red carpet.
