The subtle-winds, energy, spirit whatever you impute its called that reincarnates takes rebirth consistent with the sown-seeds of our tomorrows, that process continues for as long as the energy has the causes to do so.

It transforms into another suffering rebirth according to karma, / interdependent arising's for as long as negative energy ripens.

Only real difference between our present human form birth and other forms of life is human form has an enhanced ability to reason, and that's what makes this life so precious, there is no certainty we will take human rebirth in our next life, that is dependent upon our karma.

In first instance our energy enters the in-between state known as the Bardo which is a formless state until by karma we take rebirth
Rebirth bound up in time leads to death time, we all been cycling rebirth after rebirth since beginningless time and its without end.
Why its good idea to take advantage of present rebirth and study meaningful Dharma
