(I believe there are absolutely NO guarantees she could be re-arrested.) Remember: They were enraged when she was able to get back to the USA, and even she stated she would never return. There laws are different than ours--I think she has put herself in harms way. What do you think?

I'm thinking we have an extradition order for murder with Italy so if they pushed for her she'd get picked up and sent back there on such an order. There's only a few countries that don't have extradition treaties with the US... and even with those that don't... you have to be married to one of their citizens (Brazil comes to mind)

Yup.Perhaps the drama queens are the ones who want to see her as evil in every which way possible. It makes for an exciting and dangerous story...at a safe physical and emotional distance.
Never mind what damage it's done and continues to do to her.
It was always an emotional story, the investigation built on salacious ideas and prejudice, rather than practical, accurate evidence.
And let's face it, if the US legal system has protected her, the Italian legal system must be below gutter level.
