Have you been totally honest with yourself what you actually want from life...? Recently I was shocked to discover that I've been shunning what I really want the most... But even more shocked to find out my best friends were not surprised to hear what it was... Do we sabotage ourselves unconsciously ?

We tend to allow into our conscious, what our mental health can handle, else it's just denial to everyone mentioning it...

I know that we live using 95 % of our unconscious mind, meaning we rarely make everyday decisions consciously... Living by the power of paradigms ...it is kind of scary...
Track16: I'm still not sure what I want but have a good idea of what I don't want.
That's pretty bad Track... You have to turn that around... If you don't have a clear idea of what you want how you gonna achieve it and be truly happy?!

You can know what you want as much as you want, until that day you meet someone or have a chance encounter and it flips your world upside down....i live for those days.

Chance encounters are not suppose to influence you that easily...not when you know what you really want... They usually provoke impulsive decisions, mostly regrettable after a while...

I think what we want from life changes as we grow within ourselves and as we mature. In the last year I discovered a new path that had absolutely never even occurred to me. It's exciting and terrifying at the same time. Yes I think we do sabotage ourselves consciously and unconsciously. A lot has to do with how we see ourselves, and sometimes it's just that we're in a rut. Very interesting topic!
It does not matter what we did or wanted in our life in the past because all we can change is tomorrow as what really matters is what we want to do today for tomorrow.
life can questions us back into living. I know what I don't want and what I want in life.

Of course it matters what we did and wanted in the past... It's all part of our realisation later...if one ever comes... Everything from your past is part of you... If you are only certain in what you don't want then you are in a static state... Concentrating on what you want makes the motion... JMO

Do I really know what I want? - No Am I worried about this? - No Should I be worried about this? - No Will I die tomorrow? - No Are you worried the sun won't rise? - No Can you change the course of destiny? - No Do you want another slice of pizza? - Yes

I agree with what you say. In fact, it does not conflict with my statement.
Past is ours and we can not change it; but we can learn from our experience and change the route of our journey, and not repeating the same mistakes. Our actions today can reflect in what we can change for tomorrow.
By knowing what I don't want makes me more aware of what I want, as I dont have to deal with the negativeness of those "not wanting": It allows me to concentrating in what I want.
