Great, another round of legitimacy and credibility on the world stage for Kim Jong Un and photo OP for Trump, while the US gets nothing in return.
By the way, that pic of Obama was taken amid reports that North Korea moved rockets they claimed would carry a satellite to a launch pad for imminent liftoff. You know, actual defense of the country stuff. Not exactly the same thing, but carry on...

Facts, they're a b!tch. Feel free to inform me what Trump got in return to giving Kim Jong Un, not one but now TWO internationally covered, personal meetings across from a US president, whenever you decide to put down the pom poms? Cute memes by the way. Nothing like meaningless red meat for the flock.

Trump, unlike his predecessors is out there working for permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula and to finally end that Korean war. Whats to criticize about that.

I dunno, maybe the fact that Jong Un tells Trump one thing to his face then continues to test missiles and expand his nuclear program? This is all common knowledge. It's all available to anyone interested in knowing what's actually going on. Which is why other presidents NEVER gave Kim Jong Un the legitimacy, international attention and credibility of personally meeting with him. It's only playing into HIS hands. You Trump people are a trip. "Permanent peace"

Not sure what you think the USA should get in return besides budgetary cost savings if we pull our troupes of that peninsula, which I’m for pulling all Military home, except to support Israel. Regardless, I think you may have tasted to much of the Left’s kool-aid. Trump is the best POTUS since George Washington. #1.

Well, how about starting with what Trump was saying to the world they agreed to during their first meeting?
Stopping the missile tests and coming to the table about denuclearization?
"Trump is the best POTUS since George Washington. #1"
Damn, sycophant much? And I get accused of drinking Kool-Aid?
galrads: Trump is trying harder to work something out with n korea and doing it directly instead of being behind binoculars. .
Agreed. Dialogue and getting to know each other is far better for all involved. Nothing is gained by continuing to be hostile. NK has been a very closed society who has vilified the US for many years. It will take years of dialogue and friendly negotiation. This isn't a TV mini series drama that's going to wind up in a few weeks.

The US has avenues of dialogue (diplomatic) going on with many countries, behind the scenes. Right now there are talks going on with Iran, Saudis etc, behind the scenes, without the public's knowledge. I'm surprised you people didn't know that? The problem arises though, with rewarding Kim Jong Un and his administration with attention, credibility and legitimacy, without earning it? That's how it should work when a North Korea gets personal face to face talks with a sitting President? There is a procedure to this for a reason. This should not be used to get an empty photo OP so the President can sure up his base in time for July 4th. Get serious people?
