Yeah, thanks, what a loss... and to think POTUS Trump honored Pete Buttigieg recently with a comparison to Alfred "Mad Magazine is hitting back at Pete Buttigieg after the 2020 Democratic hopeful inadvertently insulted the publication while responding to a diss from President Trump.
“Who’s Pete Buttigieg? Must be a generational thing,” the magazine wrote in a tweet, directly referencing the 37-year-old South Bend, Ind. mayor’s comments about them.
The humor rag was responding to Buttigieg’s statement that, “I guess it’s just a generational thing. I didn’t get the reference,” when asked about President Trump’s first nickname for the rising Democratic star: Alfred E. Neuman."

Fester bestertester,one whole page showed a guy with a real long beard )(like the keep on truckin guy? anyway one whole page was of a guy getting his long beard in his soup and it sopped it all up like a sponge,so he promptly wrung it out back in the bowl an began spooning it down his mouth,the guys who wrote that stuff must have been dropping acid on a regular basis!

MAD was heresy to the old folks in late '50s-early '60s. It made fun of the Great God that all worship and none acknowledge, which is Advertising. Maybe the difference between satire and realty is not as much today as back then. Those older issues may still serve as an antidote to nostalgia.
