RedHeadedTaurus: If you like steak, you would really like Morel mushrooms. Prepared properly, they taste like a steak - no joke. Every year, I forage Morels & dehydrate them & put them in the freezer to stay fresh. Delish! I've seen people who don't like mushrooms scarfing down Morels …

I'm not positive, but I believe so. Just be careful not to pick the false Morels … gotta know what you're looking for. If you end up tripping, let me know how it went.

It's one of the few foods that everyone I know enjoys, but I can't help but pick out of everything I eat. Is it me? Or I just haven't had it properly prepared to change my mind?
I have tried lots of different "weird"dishes all over the world, and some are quite "appealing" every single culture has wonderful "weird food" .

I always take my NZ mushroom/native plant book with me if i'm out bush walking, we have some killer mushrooms and native plants here... the magic mushrooms here are the blue mennies and the gold tops, they grow in public parks and on the road sides here. The trip on the blue mennies is not that good, i haven't tried the gold tops.
