Huge pod of dolphins spotted off Laguna Beach, (Southern California) Fleeing?

While Dolphins travel in pods of up to 15, there seemed to be a lot more in this group.
A pod typically consists of several adult females, calves and adult males. Pods may travel together in herds of several hundred individuals. Dominance or aggression, in the form of a showing of teeth, tail smacking, jaw snapping or head butting, establishes the hierarchy in the pod.
Superpod -Like humans, sometimes they get together in larger groups or ‘herds’ for a while. Occasionally when food is plentiful, dolphins may join together into a ‘super pod’ of over 1,000 dolphins, but that only tends to happen in the deep ocean.

Perhaps an earthquake?

SUPER PODS
Which only happens in deep water if food is very plentiful.
The last super that was spotted, that close to shore was in 2016.

This quake happened 18 hrs ago. Quite possibly related to Superpod in flight mode

(10:05) Earthquake M5.4 Off Oregon Coast, Blanco Fracture Zone, Juan de Fuca
What will eventually happen to the Juan de Fuca plate? The cause for concern is what happens when the Juan de Fuca plate eventually submerges under the much larger Pacific plate. ... If the entire 650-mile long Cascadia Subduction Zone (which includes the Juan de Fuca plate) were to experience a full rupture, it could not only trigger a 9.0 earthquake, but a tsunami as well

(1:44) Whales Beached On Florida's West Coast Near Massive Dead Zone

Several whales beached themselves Monday on a Pinellas County beach. A number of agencies responded to Redington Beach to help the mammals in distress. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said it appears five distressed whales beached themselves. The sheriff's office did not identify what type of whales they are. However, deputies are working with FWC and Clearwater Marine Aquarium biologists.
(Also happening from Washington to Southern California)
