Their are elections in Moscow coming september. Only people who are pro Putin can stand for election. Navalny, who is in prison for 30 days, yesterday heard new accusations and they already tried to poison him in prison. Every week there are demonstrations, which are forbidden, and the army arrested over 2000 people last weeks, also people who were just there standing and looking, journalists etc.
Democracy in Russia, it isn't worth a dime. And Putin has done it many times in the last 19 years since he is president.

Since its independence 54 years ago, the city-state of Singapore has been run by a single family, whose patriarch Lee Kuan Yew co-founded the PAP in the 1950s, with the party winning every national election by an average of 60 percent of votes. Russian police have detained hundreds of people attending an unauthorised protest in the country's capital, Moscow, to demand free elections, according to a monitoring group.

The dispute over the local election has provoked a large outcry. On July 20, about 20,000 people turned out for a demonstration that was the largest in the city in several years. The Moscow city council, which has 45 seats, is responsible for a large municipal budget and is now controlled by the pro-Kremlin United Russia party. All of its seats, which have a five-year term, are up for grabs in the September 8 vote. No, we shouldn't tell people how to live or what politics they have, but it's obvious a lot of Russians are totally through with mr Putin and his KGB friends. It's good to know we have a better live than them and hope for the best for them. Just let them know they're not alone and the whole world knows what's going on.
I see you live in Serbia, well, I guess I could have expected such a remark from you.

I agree with this. Oligarchies rule Russia with Putin as their puppet, much like Wall Street and the banksters rule the US with Trump (maybe not as a puppet but...) only able to do so much.
