The other plants slated to close this year are assembly plants in Detroit and Oshawa, Ontario, and transmission plants in Warren, Mich., and near Baltimore.

The vehicles the plants are making are not selling , what would you do , tax money making plants to support these ones ? Its one thing to keep plants open when there is a problem like when Obama took over , a very different matter to keep plants open when there is high employment . By imposing tariffs on Chinese imports and promising unemployed blue collar workers that this will bring manufacturing back to the US and they will get their jobs back. This induced people all across the country who were trying to feed their families and not wind up homeless to vote for him out of desperation. It was actually a pretty clever tactic. Tariffs on China have brought jobs back along with many other things President Trump has done.This is just another lame tactic for the uneducated to try and besmirch The best President we have had in at least 50 years.

You asked "what would you do?" I would do what GM has been doing every year since the early 50's. I would switch to a different model which the public IS buying. They are very experienced at that task, it's almost a no brainer for them.------ This thread is Archived ------
