What's the latest craze in diets? Keto, Atkins, Paleo, Porky Pie Pilatus.....?? it's a billion-dollar industry around the world. Does it work, or is it just a large scam dressed up as a discipline challenge, which most people are destined to fail? Have you tried one, do they work? What's your opinion?

Well since i dont plan to live forever or die as a `` healthy`` Man .i eat whatever i want
I've tried a few diets...Keto is just another word for 'Starve Yourself'...Paleo etc etc, variations on a theme. The only one that has worked for me is the ELF diet. There are no tricks, no fads, no expensive meal plans. I lost 2 kilos a week on that.
The only 'diet' that works is one you continue for the rest of your life.
Any diet that is too difficult and/or unhealthy to continue longterm, aka lifestyle change, will allow you to lose weight short-term but most people put it up again, plus more.
A healthy varied diet, allowing yourself some treats, is the only sustainable diet.
I know a couple of idiots who dieted so many times in the end they gave up and decided to put on more weight so they could get for free the gastric sleeve surgery.
I'm probably too active as I burn 1500 calories when relaxed but the beauty of that is I love my food way m m than I love my gym

The only thing that will work is a healthy balanced diet, best coupled with sports.
Changing your eating habits and sticking to them long-term. For anyone wanting support, i have seen people being successful with weight watchers or slimming club.

I eat whatever I want and that happens to be not a lot. Food is a resource to be consumed, I still have the same basic "eat it, it's good for you" attitude to food as I did when I was 7. Let's get this over with so we can get back out there. I'm not wired to think about food much, and the last thing food does is bring comfort to me. Stress causes me to eat less which is just as well in today's society. Through the magical combination of think about something else with go out & play I have the body of an adonis.

I don't really go with any of the fad diets out there. I believe in portion control and exercise. Oh, and a lot of water.

Exactly. Portion control contains the alpha and omega of the diet business. Throw out all the doctor titles, TV shows and expensive protein shakes - it's all really about discipline. Unfortunately you can't buy discipline in a packet.

You can buy smaller plates though.
We eat with our eyes as much as with our stomachs.
A small portion on a small plate looks big and therefore satisfies us. The same portion on a large plate looks unsatisfying and we feel we need to eat more.

I've tried it. Smaller plates don't fool my stomach.
