The liberals won’t deliver the goods and the modern equivalent of Dickensian Britain will remain the workhorse of the world. China. It’s a bit of a fight between honest work and modern duplicity.

That's fine by me, but what about the future of Koalas, Global Warming and the T-Bone in my fridge?
Greta who? Actually, I'm not a Greta follower. I leave that to my wealthier friends who can afford to jetset to go to rallies and demontrations. Carbon footprint doesn't count if it's for a 'good cause' ... it gets cancelled out apparently ... me I'm busy having a simple life without tv or plastic waste ...
Global what? When we know that cruiseships produce more pollution than several hundred million cars in one year and 'they' want to make us feel guilty about using them ... when 'they' use geo-engineering to control weather patterns and provoke 'natural' disasters... when 'they' allow 'mining pit fires' to continue to burn in disaffected mines all over the world for profit... when 'they' continue with deforestation programmes for profit... when 'they' encourage consummerism for profit... How much it all adds on the balance of global warming against naturally occuring warming trends? I don't really know. But I know none of it makes for a respected valued Earth

I have no opinion on Greta, i don't follow her.. The global warming is true its getting warmer every summer the seasons seem to moving a bit to, A global worldwide tax would do the trick.. then the rich folks can buy our way out of it with a giant ice block to cool the planet..
Well, these two sound and look pretty hateful to me... No wonder they attract the same in return... The climate change has been happening since life began, it will keep on changing with or without us... But I must say that the attitude towards nature must change for sure...and it should start from the family... It's a bit too late when you have to pour some common sense into an adult head...

HarbalEsquire: I can't work out what her relevance is.
Has she discovered something about the effects of human activity on the climate that wasn't previously known about?
Has she come up with a way of solving the problem that hasn't already been put forward?
Is she warning us of an impending catastrophe that hasn't previously been brought to our attention?
Doesn't the World already have enough superstar celebrities that don't possess any particular talent?
I don't have anything against her, I just can't see the point of her.
Shes been used as a human shield. So the environmentalists can get their message across without being ridiculed. Anyone dare question her is bulling a child
1: I actually feel sorry for the kid, she's been brought up/brainwashed to be the way she is. The World didn't steal her childhood, her parents did, and they're profitting from it.
2: No, absolutely not.
As for Alexandria, she's rather attractive, but I've never really paid any attention to what she has to say. If a bunch of right wingers hate her, she must be doing something right...err left, whatever.
Question 1: i don't have a 'go greta go' shirt. and as i previously said in different thread... if your house was on fire.. who do you want to be there? a fireman putting out the fire, or a girl yelling that your house is on fire?
Question 2: regardless of paradigm, i believe in good stewardship of the land.
Question: 3 i think solutions are more important than blame.
oops... if you're one of the folks scrolling back for question 3...

Very much agree. A hormone ridden hysterical teenager screaming at the grown ups while having an Aspergers meltdown isn't the way to go. She deserves sympathy rather than ridicule though.

Are Climate-Deniers really misogynists in camouflage?
Question 1: What do you think of Greta Thunberg?
Question 2: Do you buy the global warming paradigm?
