When I lived in Carson City, Nevada 30 years ago, I used to go to Walley's hot springs in Genoa. They have since built a hotel there. I also visited the Nevada State Park, Mormon Station there. I think the house they filmed as Lauren Bacall's bed and breakfast that John Wayne stayed at in the movie "The Shootist" was filmed there which also starred a teen aged Ron Howard as Lauren Bacall's son. It was the last movie John Wayne starred in and in the movie the character he played was dying of colon cancer and not long after the movie was made, John Wayne actually died of colon cancer. In the movie James Stewart played the doctor that diagnoses him.------ This thread has reached the limit ------

We have a Genoa in Australia but it's nothing like that... in fact, there is very little there.
