A lot can happen. Most likely, not too much will.
They're dead set on using, "third world tactics",( phrase from another congress person that say they are a democrat) to get rid of Trump.
They haven't been successful at protecting their butts from the American people with their lies about needing more "gun control". They know exactly who for, what, and why the 2nd amendment exists if they piss the country off enough. There are other matters concerning the average U.S. citizen to be concerned with.
They want to know what their odds are on their current course. They're doing their own prep work if they are actually allowed to gather, sieve through, and use any information that can be obtained.
In all likelihood, they might even be trying to use the tactics to spy on Trump again. They did it before and so far, have largely gotten away with it. It's just that fabrications don't yield much evidence because the alleged crimes and misdemeanors never existed. I'm certain there are many obozo holdovers in the NSA type agency that can't wait to start the next circus act.
If the surveillance takes place at all. Some how, seems as much a Constitutional violation as it ever was before.
I'd like to see Trump pardon Snowden if it can be proven he never gave any more secrets away. The one he did that matters was for the American people to be aware of. THAT was an actual act of courage given all that was going on and what was in charge of the nation at the time.
