Yep i have it..I can say up all nite...write...meditate...and before I know it its like 7 am and den i can do a full days work..It can go on for 2/3 nites...Not a bother..

Am I superhuman.???....Are there fellow insomniacs like me that harness this power...I was thinking we cud set up a meeting similar to AA or Overeaters Anyonomous and just call it "Insomnia...A superpower."...I cud work for the C.I.A or the SAS or some organisation of dat ilk...Cos if the terrorists were tryn to break me with sleep deprevation .....Well they wouldn't win.....They'd get fed up of me and just set me free....I'd do their heads in....

Anyone wanna join " Insomnia...A superpower..."...Maybe we cud meet Monday evenings in some hall...And discuss our superpower and how we handle it so well...Share tips etc..deep meaningful discussions..but u must stand up and say the immortal line of Hey, I'm Kev and I'm an Insomniac ...And I've been living with it for 5 years....And we will all clap and welcome you to the club....Hug it all out....and tea and chocolate digestive buscuits served afterwards....Or if ur vegan bring ur own snacks....were on a tight budget...

I agree vegans have gone too far wit their selective eating choices.....Cardboard food I call it..Most likely offended half d nation as d phase at d moment is to be Vegan....I wud literally wither away and die if i was a Vegan....

The superpower involved here is being able to endure nights of technical sleeplessness and still function properly. That is a skill that I could learn, even if I appreciate my sleep. ^_^

That being said I 'think' that I 'may' be able to provide hints towards more sleepy nights, and it begins with taking note of your brain activity (and caffeine or similar intake).

A quiet mind is more likely to rest and so the disengaging from thoughts about your day, your worries and unresolved issues will help your mind to reach a state more conducive for your body to follow suite.

To put it a little simply - ideally achieve emptiness of thought. Next best thing is to aim for simple thoughts (think about something silly like a triangle floating in your mind's view). Next best thing is to think about sensations and just experience without reading into those feelings. Next best thing is to just think pleasant thoughts.

You meditate so you probably know the benefits of this a lot more than I do.

Another factor is cleansing the sleep space. If you use the same space for both sleep and work then those things can interfere with each other. Even a smaller dedicated space where you do pretty much nothing other than sleep can help put your body and mind into sleep mode.

A minimum of REM is needed for good health. I have sleep apnea…it is being treated now. Things seem better, so far. (I would startle back to awareness just as I fell asleep. Terrible.)
