I hate that this is who the market decides to give the money to. His athletic achievements notwithstanding, and aside from whatever financial suits he's hired to run his empire, I always thought Beckham was a bit of a wooz who could hardly put a cognitive sentence together in front of the camera. Seeing him in an interview didn't leave one with an overriding impression of intelligence.
But in this age of eco-extinction and specie die-off daily fodder for the social media mill, you have to be an utter brainless wingnut to pitch a story like this as part of your PR media promo. Killing a unique animal, and then spending an amount that would buy the schooll lunch ofor half Yemen's kids, takes stupidity to a new level.
