kidatheart: What do you spend your time on, or who?

Time is the one thing you never get back, and can't create more of, so what's important to you that you spend your time on, or who do you spend your time with? What is time "well spent", or what do you consider "wasted time", or even "time well wasted"?

What are your "priorities", and what do you see as being important time, or management of your time?

I know, a lot of questions, but all the same shizzle, just different ways of asking, just in case you have any questions about what I'm asking.
Work.....

germanspitz: Hi Kid,

Time is a very precious commodity which we rarely appreciate until it runs out.

Time only makes sense as a commodity because our lifespan is small and limited. Imagine if everyone could live forever - then there would be no time related pressures.

I'm at an age where time is running out so how to make the most of it? Difficult when the mind wants to do many things but the body says no unfortunately .

I love my German Spitz and spend time with her, hold Coffee mornings making cakes etc and get together for a natter and a laugh. I love the visitors that come and spend a few days with me and get me out and about. I come on here and probably waste time watching the 3 ring circus mostly full of clowns make idiots of themselves.

In all I try to make my time purposeful Some good days, some dull. It is what it is.
No doubt, it is precious. I've been trying to impress that upon a few people, having realised it myself many years ago after a few things that happened. Before then I'd spend all my time working, and working, then come home and work some more. I don't want to slip back into that again, although I have been over the last couple years. Maybe I'm just being greedy, I want more for less. grin

Selenite: Time is what we make of it every moment we live.
I tend to live very much in the present and very near future because I have learned best layed plans have a habit of flowing in many ways and directions not always envisaged at the time of making the plans.
Rather than a plan I have a vision of how I'd like things to be, then set about taking steps towards materialising it without being too attached to the 'how' and focussing more on the bigger picture of the outcome.
Time for me is a flow and I experience it sometimes like a rapid and sometimes like a meandering river.
For me time is life and joy and well being and so I can't equate it to material things because its value varies depending where you are on the globe and which family you were born into so it's not an universal measure. Equating a universal perception like time to a relative/arbitrary value like money or material things makes no sense and is the cause of much darkness and sorrow on this Earth.
Time is for honouring yourself, others and life.
In order to do so, sometimes it requires walking away from toxic situations, people, settings, environments. One of the best uses of time since it makes the quality of 'the rest of your time' so much more fulfilling and soul nourishing.
I like the way you put it, and I agree with you. I'm not trying to equate my time with money per se, but I do still have to work, earn, and I don't want to waste my time doing meaningless projects. I'll save the meaningless time for when I'm at home in the garage. laugh

Well as i`m getting older i have discovered that my brain is more and more attracted to resolving mysteries such as
how to get just one wet wipe outta the package

I enjoy spending time with my family, my daughter, my pets and my friends.

I enjoy things like barbeques, cooking at home, dining out, watching movies or at the theater, I like playing horseshoes, darts, pool, hiking, camping, fishing, snowboarding and white water rafting and probably more than I can think of.

I think time wasted is not being outdoors enjoying the weather, being around toxic people and the drama they have. Can't think of more things I think is wasted time, but I know that there is plenty more.laugh

I wished I would have had at least one child, by the time I realized this, it was to late.
I enjoy walking, bike riding and just being outdoors around nature. Investing money in real estate instead of a family, was not the smartest thing I've done, many people living in mud huts, are happier than I am...

I'm sorry, I just saw this....

I always tell my children I would live in a car..to have the love that I had with my late husband. He loved me for me..who I am..and I loved him in the same way...warts and all.

So far, this has been a year of changes for me....I just sold the home we lived in for over 30 years..and I am in ther process of building a new home..Much smaller and maintenance free..

I hope you find happier times.

I love to read.
I have a vast library of esoteric knowledge and long out of print rare books.
I recently sold my 1838 copy of ???????? ?????? (or The Ahman Rezon) for $1300.
