There are many cases not being reported here in Ohio. A lot of secrecy surrounds this virus and I was given these links to review.

Are you serious with your headline?

Just follow the advice of the experts. The fatality rate in China with infected patients among healthy adults is less than 1%.

Should it be taken seriously? Yes, of course. Follow the advice, and be particularly careful when it comes to people with compromised immune systems.

There will be more cases in the short-term. As weather temperatures rise(in many places) that will reduce the spread of the virus. Hopefully then a vaccine will be available by the time the next winter season arrives. That's what we should be hoping for. Now, follow best practice guidelines and like i said be particularly careful regarding people with compromised immune systems. Common sense.

China was covering up data in the beginning.

Mortality is at plague levels after 70 years old, but this may have to do with other age related complications as well.

No one really knows much about corona. It could mutate!

Wonder if the vaccine is in a month, three months, one year or two ? Or maybe never? uh oh

Did Trump gag government official? Trump and official say no. How many times has Trump pulled that routine as President!?

USA has already suffered more than 15,000 deaths from this years 'regular flu' ... worth bearing in mind that THAT number is not exactly being widely reported.... well, it's become 'The Norm' hasn't it?

Vaccine - no, never the flu vaccines show that they are forever chasing their tails - every 'new vaccine' is only ever effective against 'last years' strain.

IF it were to take hold in the US it will certainly let rip ... there's an awful lotta people have no health insurance and it's been reported that one man who 'did the right thing' by voluntary testing ended up with a $3260 hospital bill.

Poverty is a primary deterrent to expensive compliance

Hopefully this makes the Americans take the concept of public health more seriously. The healthcare of others is in your self-interest.

According to W.H.O, the death rate is around 2%, well below normal flu death rates. So the suggestion that 3/4 of the world's population will die from coronavirus is laughable, Sad that anyone would post such a notion.

The current season does not appear to be as severe as 2017-2018, when the flu reached epidemic proportions and as many as 95,000 people died, according to CDC estimates.Feb 1, 2020

Between October 1, 2019, and December 7, 2019, there have been up to 3.7 million cases of the flu, between 23,000 to 41,000 hospitalizations, and approximately 1,300 to 3,300 flu-related deaths, according to the CDC . ... Health experts predict that flu activity may peak earlier than usual.Dec 13, 2019

While the impact of flu varies, it places a substantial burden on the health of people in the United States each year. CDC estimates that influenza has resulted in between 9 million – 45 million illnesses, between 140,000 – 810,000 hospitalizations and between 12,000 – 61,000 deaths annually since 2010.

Flu deaths are up more than 65% so far in 2020, with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reporting that 4,800 people had died and 87,000 people had been hospitalized.

So far, 16,000 people have died and 280,000 people have been hospitalized during the 2019-2020 flu season, according to preliminary estimates from the CDC.

The majority of states, as well as New York City and Puerto Rico, are seeing high flu activity.

In total, the CDC estimates that 29 million people have gotten the flu so far this season.

Considering the current 1% approximate fatality rate, no fewer than 525 billion people would need to be infected so as to eradicate 3/4 of the current 7 billion or so population.

The black death killed about 40 to 60 % of the world population, the Spanish flu killed about 2 1/2 % of the world population and coronavirus has killed about 1 in 2M of the world population and in the UK each February about 3000 die of flu and pneumonia and so far only 1 has died of this bug and that person was on the cruse ship so this is nothing to be really bothered about.

pedro27: whats the cause of the normal flu?
"Normal flu" is a mutation of the previous year's 'normal flu' so, if you get a 2020 vaccine it' something that might have been effective against the 2019 'normal flu'

This is being called 'novel' as certain traits are different to the usual pattern of mutations - which is giving rise in many circles to the idea that it was a GM virus created for belligerent purposes in the region in which it was first 'found'

Some are wondering if this was an act of bio-war run in parallel with an existing trade war, others have pointed out that the spread that has occurred now has Russia surrounded and that (surely by chance) Italy (who has pressed most strongly for the restoration of normal trade with Russia ) has been hardest hit among EU nations!

Of course at this time this is purely conjecture - though again some are adding that Trump reassuring the US that they have nothing to fear has been said to support the view that it's 'been engineered' against certain specific genetic types.

But regardless of whether there's any truth in the above the reality is that once a genie is uncorked the final outcome is uncertain. The 1% in the US (particularly) have for decades been creating and stocking vast underground cities (YouTube has many examples) and there's no doubt that the absence of free or affordable public health care there would guarantee a rapid spread ... and of course 'It originated in China' goes the Official Story Line so 'They must be to blame eh ???'

Standard CIA playbook ?

But it's all just wild speculation at this point.

Trump's and Kudlow's "air tight seal" has become an even greater lie and laughing stock! very mad

Israel's claim of a miracle vaccine is the only concrete thing that smells bad. If only we could have instant miracle cures discovered in some small, backwater lab every time a new mutation of a deadly virus appears.

Feasibly, this could happen, if the virus mutates, and the world economy collapses. Well, (most of us) surely hope not; although it could happen.
