Yes. When I lived in Denver, Colorado they have a St. Patricks Day parade that is over 2 hours long. Businesses marching in the parade gave out free T shirts and hats, candy and I got a free admission ticket to a greyhound track. When I went to the track I won a free upgrade to the penthouse. Because of the practice of killing losing dogs, I won't be going to a greyhound track ever again.------ This thread is Archived ------

The only drinking I do on St. Patrick's day is get a large shamrock shake at McDonalds which is mint flavored. Also my church has a corned beef, cabbage and potatoes dinner in March. Parades, drunks, corn, beef and cabbage food.

Yes we do. Some cities have parades. A lot if bars with Irish names serve green beer. An old tradition is that you will get a pinch if you don't wear green so we all wear green as not to get pinched

Most people here in Dublin get drunks weeks ahead of time in preparation for getting more drunk on st patti’s day.

Lol, yesterday I was invited for a party tonight, a friend of mine is celebrating his birthday.So I told him: I'll be there, I start drinking in after work today.
He: drinking in, a day for the party? Isn't that too much preparation?
Me: No, I do it every day.
He: I could have known...

you must know I primarily like to kid people around these parts, sometimes see if they can be triggered. Dublin Ohio St Paddy day celebrations are a lot of fun with mostly only the real young people who get skunky drunk.... So I told him: I'll be there, I start drinking in after work today.
