It's not only you getting older, the same is happening to guys that were born around the same time as you. 
People know a lot more what they want. Some want to live their own life/have their own space more than when they were younger. It's not a "must" anymore to have a partner to be happy. Some figured out that happiness is to a big extend up to them.
Some simply can't be bothered with a relationship or the other gender in general.
Just look for someone wanting similar things.

In my 50-year-old age, somehow I feel that I have reached a certain wisdom and comprehension about love and life. Then some friends ask me if I am ready to mingle again after couple of years I was really really alone and find a new love? What amaze me is that.... I could not answer my friends' question... especially, I consider that I am not that young anymore...

I'm 60 in May! I started dating again recently after a very long break... he's quite a few years younger than me which came as quite a surprise as if I'd met him through this dating site I'd have turned him down as 'too young' ...
My advice is be authentic, be yourself then whomever you meet really 'sees' you and whatever their age you don't have to act or worry about 'keeping' some façade to hold their attention. You will trully liked for who you are and your attention will be on the other rather than on 'pleasing' which means you will trully 'see' him. There is nothing healthier for our own soul than being who we are and true to ourself so it's a win win ...
