How did you recovered after divorce, brake up, separation...
Give yourself time to get fully over one relationship before going into another. Learn to.live by yourself, get to know yourself, and be independent before even considering another relationship.

There is no dating after separation, thats it, all over red rover... The whole idea is out of the question as its no longer possible... Its like nearly finishing a packet of jelly beans and there's a sxungey black one in the bottom nobody wants. .. Well thats how it is, and now you're one of us.

I’m still working through things in my head over a breakup that happened about six months ago and I’m not ready to venture out yet. My ex exclusive, well she’s been more on my mind since coronavirus became a big concern here.

This lockdown could be used to think things through, determine your options, and make a plan for the rest of your life. You seem like a survivor to me, you did the right thing reaching for other people on CS, most of us have been kicked in the teeth at some time. You can come back to happiness, it's not easy, but if I can do it you can too.

Evaluate the possibilities.
There'll be things that weren't available to you in your marriage that are available to you now.
My friend (who, it turned out, was a very wise woman) told me after I've divorced: "Get someone at once. If you don't do it now, you never will."
She was right: after a few months of kinda "mourning" my failed marrage, when the most of practicalities fell in place, I discovered that being single is very convenient.
There is a lot of advantages in being in a relationship, but convenience of being single wins hands down every time.
So if you want another relationship, do get it right now. Good luck!
