Nope! Mr. Gates can go first, then we can watch to see if it works. I have to get a flu shot every year due to my job and every year, I feel the effects of the shot for about a week and a half, which sucks some serious swamp water. Nope, no vaccine for me, thank you very much.
Sorry to tell you but you are lucky you have never gotten the flu. I have to get a vaccine or I will get it as close quarters almost everywhere I go. I am pretty healthy but my immune systems doesn't stay strong all the time.

Billy Boy will probably get a jab with Rocky Mountain Springwater Extra Purified!
I believe in the tried and true vaccines..like Smallpox. With them the US was able to eliminate or reduce many serious diseases, like Polio. I went to school with a guy who got it. We were too old by the time it was invented. He is so crippled up he can't stand straight..still working. And a woman with a bad foot with polio. How many ended up living in an iron lung for life. I don't know which I got as a child. I know I had every measles invented as a child to the point we were happy when my spots turned out to be chicken poxs and I didn't have to stay in bed in a dim lit room. Will I get the shingles vaccine. No. I haven't heard of anyone around me with shingles. I think all the diseases are over hyped to make money for Big Pharma, I never got a flu shot. This is a virus that mutates constantly. When they toss a dart and guess which strain will be prevalent and are right TEN percent in a given year...Bite Me! No way I will chance a brand new, rushed through vaccine for Covid 19. It takes years to find the oops in drugs. And maybe Covid 20 will be a new virus and the vaccine will be useless by then.
Bellanna: That's actually the most important thing to think about.
It's not about US personally, it's about protecting those weaker than us.
Where is empathy?
Empathy is the only thing that can save us in this kind of situation, yet people only think about themselves all the time (ME, ME, ME, MY opinion, MY rights, I want...). It's no wonder this world is going down - people became so selfish! And those same selfish people keep talking about the selfishness of others and constantly criticize something and someone.
Maybe the human race really didn't deserve to go on...
Humanity is a disgusting creature, hey. Smart enough to create what we have now but our selfishness will eventually lead to its destruction. Maybe the survivors of whatever eventually destroy's society will learn from the mistakes and try to create a different way of living for humanity.
Those, who refuse vaccination, should remember that they are protected by herd immunity: yes, you are safe because a lot of people around you are immune.
I do take vaccine against influenza each fourth year: I feel really ill after it for a couple of weeks, but I know it is much better than if I get the real influenza.
I will take vaccine against Covid-19 as I trust the Swedish government won't allow anything unsafe.

SARS and the new SARS-CoV-2 virus are pretty similar in nature and they share about 85% of their genetic code. So similar in fact they are using the same ferret models to investigate this new epidemic. This one however is mutating much more rapidly and acts differently from location to location. EU vs US. So you can expect many variants in the future and also different strengths. A vaccine probably won't be ready for 14-20 months. My answer... if Bill Gates promotes it good reason to say no or any Chinese pharmaceuticals. If it comes out too soon... more reason not to trust it.
