PeKaatje: Be glad you are out of de EU, people from the UK. Italy, Spain and France wants to introduce Eurobonds. then they can make debts and the whole EU is paying for them.
Luckily The Netherlands and Germany refuse. But how long kan they stand their ground?
Also east-European countries refuse to take refugees, they say: give us a fine, we rather pay the fine than that we have to accept fugs. So they will be send to western European countries.
If the UK was still in the EU, they would have had extra problems too, and as we look to the last few years with several terrorist attacks, I would say: Support BoJO. He knows what is good for the UK.
We are still subject to E.U. laws to a certain degree. Under the terms of the Withdrawal Agreement Act the UK entered a transitional period during which time the UK will abide by EU rules despite no longer being a member.

It's not quite a done deal .handshake

Those who think the UK will be able to kiss goodbye to all ties with the EU and EU law after Brexit are mistaken. Yes, the EU (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (EU(W)A) repeals the European Communities Act 1972 which gives effect to the principles of direct effect (enforceability) of EU law and supremacy of EU law. However, the EU(W)A also ensures that all EU law becomes part of UK law as ‘retained EU law’.

This is done to ensure a smoother transition from the old regime to the new, in the interests of preserving as much continuity in the legal rules as possible. As a result, all the Statutory Instruments (secondary law in the UK), such as those which implemented EU law, like the Working Time Directive, will continue to apply in the UK (see s.2 of EU(W)A 2018).

It also means that EU regulations on matters such as cross border healthcare will also continue to apply in the UK (s.3 EU(W)A 2018). However, on Brexit and following any transition period, the UK will be free to change those rules. Changes are already being prepared for those rules that will not work effectively on Brexit day because, for example, they require information to be sent to
o the European Commission and the UK will no longer be subject to the power of the Commission.

At least the UK has a free vote and they can decide themselves.
The Netherlands voted no against the Euro or the European fundamental laws, against the agreement with the Ukrain, but they all stuffed it through our throat.
No democracy at all in the EU. All fugitives enter the EU via Spain, Italy or Greece and as the Eastern European countries refuse to give them a home, the western European countries get the problems. The Eastern European countries don't care. They're frauding with unemployedment benefits, lots of E.E. criminals are travelling through the west robbing and plundering. And our government can't protect us against this. They say we still make money and have profit, well, if you look at the way we live now, the profit isn't worth the suffering we do.
Brexit first, Nexit next. The UK can choose to deal with any country, and countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK still have the same Queen!!! Who had her birthday lately I believe, or will be celebrating her birthday soon, congrats with that. She still is a remarkable woman. God save the queen...
The UK is a strong country and they don't need the EU to stay strong... Maybe they have a fall back for a couple of years, due to covid 19 the whole world will have an economical problem, but they will get out stronger. Maybe covid 19 is a financial birthday present after all to the UK. Just wait a couple of years and see who will be the last one laughing...
