mollybaby: If she were there with you, we'd never hear the end of it

Anyway, last time you were 'dead', she said she'd never leave her daughter to move to England.
Her daughter iswith her,
It's really none of your business.

pat8lanips: I doubt she has Australian citizenship, it is very difficult to obtain these days. She would have to be married to an Australian for several years, besides, its difficult for Australians to reside in Shengen countries. I'm calling BS on that one.
There's a lot of it about. Welcome to the world of C.S.wink

PeKaatje: due to the fact that is hard to travel, most countries have locked the borders, I guess the local people have to pick the fruit.
While pubs etc. are closed, why don't the people who are without work at the moment pick the fruit?
The pubowner can make it a part of the usual job, so the farmer will pay a part of the normal salary, and if there is a difference in income the pubowner will pay some extra. It saves him a lot of money.
The farmer is helped, the people are in the outdoors, and the weather is good at the moment. I think most folks would be happy.
Good idea.

None of my business at all mate. But me being borm here, several generations before too, would still struggle to get to live in England legally.

yes 25 years ago it was much easier to get resdiency or citizenship here, but its still difficult to reside in England should one choose to.

I'm still calling BS on this, even if one had such papers, its not at all easy.

tomcatty: well she's been in Australia for 25 years,.

In 2016, the census recorded 15,489 Croatia-born people in Victoria. Living predominantly in Melbourne and Geelong, most members of this community are Catholic; a large proportion speaks Croatian at home. Many are employed as tradespeople and related workers within the manufacturing and construction industries.

She was in Melbourne notthat it's any of your business, sne is in England at the moment.
Hope she's checked her visa as she should have returned to her country of origin during this crisis. Had pals over for a funeral but they had to fly back immediately after the event and go into isolation.

If that was addressed to me, the people concerned are residents of Australia and come here most years to visit family.handshake

That comment makes absolutely no sense at all.

I'm not interested ,just surprised that if she lives in Australia she is still in the U.K. during Covid as my visitors had to go back but had a problem with paperwork as they were taking someone's ashes back to Australiahandshake

Happened just before lockdown but spilled over due to the paperwork as I've stated. Bit of a bummer as they had to change their flight plans due to the hold up but they coped. handshake

Federation was 1901, your Bradshaws is out of date... As are your fantasies about a girlfriend who picks fruit. Left your run a bit late old bean, maybe settle for the knitting club or bingo hall. And just buy fruit if you choose to eat it, pears are pretty soft.
