Boulder, Colorado. Home of the Flatirons which are rock formations made of granite laced with iron which makes them red. They jut out on a series of 3 mountains, Greene Mountain, Bear Mountain and South Boulder Peak. They are interlaced with many hiking trails all over around it. Many marathon and ironman racers train on these trails.
There are a couple of atomic clocks here located at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. You will also see the National Center for Atmospheric Research on a mesa in front of the Flatirons designed by famous Chinese-American architect I.M. Pei who also designed the glass pyramids and underground of the Louvre Museum in Paris, France.
