How could Europe handle this better?
We should take in more, as many as we can or take the help to where they live?

Crawdad69: Yes, I wonder if we can also send our homeless to Europe from San Francisco, just asking

My thoughts is because European couples have not had enough children per marriage; 3 are needed to sustain a culture (Most Europeans have one or two max) they now do not have a workforce large enough to pay for the social programs for the aging population.
Never-the-less bringing in migrants will change the over all culture, but the ruling class doesn't care, as long as it can stay in power and rule by taxation.
There is no turning back. Europe is NOT the same place as 20 years ago or when I was born there.

The ruling class? I'm not sure how much you know about the EU, but there is no "ruling class" here. You must be referring to the MEP's whom are all elected by the people.

They rule by taxation? That would make the civil servants that work for Inland Revenue the "ruling class" so. laugh laugh laugh

If Ireland was suddenly plummeted into the same situation as the countries the migrants came from I know I'd have to be dragged out by the ankles ....or be bombed out...starved out....ran out...

I'm not sure it's Europe's responsibility to clean up the USA's mess. if anything all the migrants should be shipped to the US, as the US is the cause of most of the migrant problem in the first place..

I believe it's not USA's mess only, Russia and France were part of it too. Remember when France started the war in Libya, Russia supported the regime in Syria, then they just left everything in mess. It's time to solve the problem but it's too late I think.

What you believe and what actually happened are two different things lol.....Russia didn't play any part in creating the swathes of migrants flooding Europe. Putin didn't get involved in Syria til the last minute and only after Assad pretty much begged him for help, triggered by US wanting to establish a no fly zone over Syria that would give them total control over Syrian airspace. France and the UK did help create it but nothing like the US. Murdering Gadaffi (US sanctioned and assisted) opened the flood doors for migrants from Africa.

Yeh there's been so much damage done to those migrants, their countries and their whole psyche at this stage, the effects will ripple for generations to come if not forever.

I agree except Putin, Russia. That criminal was always part of it supporting the regime the same they have in Russia. When Syria had chance to become democratic country he immediately took part in that! He just don't like democratic way as a former KGB.
But it's true the western world left these countries alone after had created war.I feel sorry for those ppl!

He doesn't, but even if he did, supporting some "regime" is not the same as invading and bombing a country into oblivion thus rendering millions of innocent people homeless . Ultimately it was and still is the US supported by the likes of the UK and France that created the migrant crisis, not Putin, not Assad and not any of the so called "dictators" the US like to demonise for wanting to keep their country safe from the rapacious greed of the west.. So the US and their cohort should take responsibility for the millions of migrants.

They always use the excuse that some leader, who won't fall in line, is a dictator and needs to be removed for the sake of the poeple and that's what the people want...so ...if that's the case then why arent they bombing North Korea?

as I see you've never ever lived under dictatorship! I know what it is like! Horrible! Never again! Assad, Putin they're all dictators, and yes Russia bombed innocent people and hospitals in Syria because he doesn't want any changes there and keep the regime alive as he's doing the same in Russia. These dictators are just sick, have mental issues, believe me!
In North Korea the situation is different supporter by China and Russia too, and they have nuclear weapons that changes everything, different way to the solution.

Lofty416: Simple answer is No we should play any part.
We are a suposedly neutral country...Any Government willing to pass this would be performing political suicide..
Is our neutrality not enshrined in the Constitution??
