With some time to fill in, it's time to resurrect hobbies, i was always a fan of painting, and made and stretched my own canvases.
So with lockdown i decided to spice up my old hobby with a new twist, i decided to try forging old masters famous old paintings and prints, not for resale but to hang on my walls and give as presents, some of the origionals are worth millions.
So i started my life of crime and am thourouly enjoying it, Above is one of my copies, origionally by Tolous Latrec, has anyone else taken up hobbies, no matter how bizzare.

I only ask as you said above was one of your copies as if you had painted it yourself
Another tip for wall decoration is a really large photo copy, when we can use them again most libraries, especially university libraries, have the equipment, get your family around the walls.

I'm pleased that you have found something to keep you occupied during this lockdown. I love restoring old furniture etc. and miss going to reclamation yards etc looking for someone's "junk" to restore. Gives me great pleasure to see it back in it's original state.

My neighbour gave me an old Lloyd loom chair which he had sprayed with masonry paint The removable seat was in a sorry state plus the framework. I had to replace all the rope around the leg joints refurbish the seat ,gently wire the framework and repaint it. When Dave saw it he wanted it back
Found a beautiful cast iron bistro set in a rusty condition and gave it a new lease of life. It just gives me some occupational therapy and it's great fun too.

Of a sorts Tom. I've never been trained ,it's just common sense and having a good eye and be nifty with a hammer and furniture tacks. I haven't mastered the art of posting on here or I'd show you my attempts.
Must get my I.T. guru to show me how to do it as I used to be able to do it in the past.

I think thats great Tom. I too am resorting to old and new hobbies.
Dioramas, modeling, I've been upholstering small furniture (benches, ottomans) with hair on cowhide. I recently took an old stage coach oil lamp and refitted it for electricity it looks great as a sconce on my wall. I purchased a broken human skull to carve revolver handles from, and I'm beginning to do animal skull carvings.
