CossackCat: What characteristics impress you in another person?
(In general- not romantically)
On another site: there is a man, who I almost always disagreed with. We avoid eachother.(In general- not romantically)
(Fortunately, we only have had a few squabbles.)
I just noticed in the past 3 days, that he posting to other people saying, "I can not comment on that" and "I know nothing about that" and "I am not familiar with that".
He admits, he doesn't know something. I am pleasantly surprised.
I still don't like the guy, but I am impressed and have a newfound respect for him.
Integrity, do you know anyone (here) with some ;)

here are a few traits I look for, and endeavor to model, as well. Good listener, focused, no interrupting. Clean, neat appearance. If not in agreement, response is still courteous. Willingness to see both or all sides, willingness to take another point of view. Genuine polite interest.I shouldn't really ask you to promote another site.

I'm impressed if someone is polite and being kind to another poster who is seriously looking for compassion are things that impress me. Giving someone support when it seems they have lost all confidence in themselves.
