Here in Valencia. We are not moving on to phase 2 of our easing of lock down. It wasn't our Spanish Prime Minister's decision. Yes! we are bloody annoyed as Valencia is a big region and where I live is only a 15 minute drive to Murcia. I'm sure we can last another week on phase 1........Especially now we have got all the Madridians and people from Barcelona coming down to their 2nd homes, flouting the lock down rules and not a police car in sight. When we were on a "strict" lock down, the police were patrolling the streets every 10 minutes........
Same in Belgium, and with a reservation system. People with a holiday home and hotel guests are preferred, so they hope day-trippers gonna stay away from the Belgian coast. If it's gonna work, that's an other question!
At least some countries have sense. News scenes of the US beaches and pools show people packed like sardines. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do that without Covid. What fun is it to basically stand in the pool because it is so crowded no one can swim or move! I want to see the count soar in a week or so.

I agree! Here we started phase 2 yesterday but, being in a very small town, everything seems to be going to plan and people obeying the rules!
We'll soon get the Madrilenians coming to their second homes here, although at the moment we're not supposed to leave our own province. But...I've already seen some of them. Now we can swim in the sea, it sounds more attractive.
And what about all the tourists from July??? How will they keep the distancing then? With the police marching up and down?

Wait and see in Sept. We'll be all back to lockdown here, where we started!
