Mainly for schizophrenics, psychotics, or bi-polar. 20 years is a long time... any other therapies? They probably also tried Electroconvulsive Therapy, Omega or D-alanine, D-serine, and sarcosine. Did anything help? Do you have the same doctor or are you being switched?
Well.... Bless your heart. If you can you may want to stock pile. If a GREATER pandemic came along supply lines may be inadvertently cut. I shudder for folks like you having to go without your meds. Some are violent. Please consider stockpiling and then rotating your stock.

Im not a doctor , and thank God for that ,,my mind is not molded by the doctrine of allopathic medicine
Just as the banking business was created by selling plain paper when there is no real value behind it, except the one given to it by bankers, modern allopathic medicine was created by selling water and oils that the producers themselves called "medicinal". Strange, but behind both of these most lucrative markets today stands the same business
so you may reconsider - 20 years of medications- , stay away from them

If you aren't a doctor and you don't know why people take certain medications, you should refrain from advising people to stay away from medications that are obviously working for them or they wouldn't be still taking them. Walk a mile in the shoes of someone who needs medication in order to lead a productive, healthy life and then see if you would ask them to reconsider. Jeez......

I've been studying herbal medicines for a couple of years now. There are herbs that one can use instead of what Big Pharma suggests. Do you know Big Pharma rewards doctors who prescribe their brand with trips to Hawaii , flat screen TV etc.? I didn't think so. I got in a car wreck that totaled my Expedition (a big car) and jacked up my neck badly December 2016. It was deemed MY FAULT as I was taking a left and the lady who hit me was speeding through a yellow light. This was during the 'opiod crises' and no doctor would write me a script for pain killers. Feb 2017 I was in so much pain I thought about suicide. I couldn't believe my mind went there but that's how excruciating the pain was. Then I found out about m herb called Mitragyna Speciosa which is used in the Far East for pain. It went by the name Kratom. Then you could get it on eBay. I bought 100 capsules and it saved my life. The pain went away. The molecular structure of 'kratom' is the same as morphine, except morphine has a (for lack of a better description) a tail coming off the molecular structure. Kratom doesn't have that 'tail'. That 'tail' is the addictive part. Big Pharma is trying to do away with Kratom. In the space of 3 years... It is no longer available on eBay and you can not buy it anywhere with a credit card. Its either cash or bank check. It was a miracle herb for me and as an 'herbalist' I recommend it for any one in chronic pain. Please take responsibly.
I have the utmost respect for anyone who can research and find alternate means to allievate pain. It's good on you that you did. My beef is with people telling others to stop taking their meds based on ignorance. To quit meds cold turkey causes withdrawal just the same as if it were heroin they used. You suffer all the sickness plus you have the added bonus of a mental health issue running amok and not being addressed. Big Pharma giving perks to doctors for prescribing meds isn't something new. I think it should be illegal for a doctor to accept anything from a drug rep by way of gifts, perks, etc. but that's just me. When a person's mental health is being jeopardized, no drug should be reconsidered except by the care of a physician. How do I know? I've been stable now for 25 years and before that I knew exactly what it was like to contemplate suicide.

Some people just need meds period. Yes they have side effects and so on but the benefit from the right med outweighs the negatives.
I started taking in my early 20s and I'm still here, here's to meds.

Medications to help you live a normal or close to it...saves lives and it beats being institutionalized...
If there are safer alternatives...great...but quitting cold turkey is problematic and not recommended...like Track said...benefits outweigh the negative...

No, you're not a doctor so to make such an irresponsible suggestion is reprehensible.
