Then the doctor slices down both sides of the nail to remove the pieces on each side. That will encourage the nail to grow straight instead of the angle that it is now.

It worked out better than expected. I've had problems with the nail of the big toe for 19 years. The podiatrist said slicing the sides isn't the answer. Removing the whole nail was the answer.So he gave me a shot in the toe that I thought would hurt more than it did. I didn't watch the procedure. My daughter kept saying thing of something else.....what are you addicted to on tv?
I told her I am addicted to 90 Day Fiance which is a reality show and started telling her that people meet in social media like Facebook and after they think they are in love the one from a country other than the USA gets a Visa. They have to get married in 90 days otherwise he/she goes back to his country. At that point my daughter and the doctor had a good laugh. So many things enter into getting the Visa of why the government won't give it to them, such as being a criminal, a terrorist, from Nigeria, etc.
I thought the anesthesia would have worn off by now and I'd be in pain but so far so good.

I am with you on that one. It seems to be a damned if you do and damned if you don't scenario. Children definitely need the interaction with others to teach them social skills. And sadly they also appear to be breeding grounds for germs even before covid 
Our school here starts tomorrow. One of my older grandchildren has made the decision to attend public school. She knows how to social distance etc. the question is does the others
