Well the real affects will be seen when furlough financing ends at the end of October in the U.K. along with redundancies. Then in April next year the budget.

I’m doing fine and it has not had a huge impact on my way of life. I’m very lucky to be working when many have lost their jobs and more to come.

I adapt quickly to these situations having been through Ebola and various other challenging situations.

It’s so hard out there for millions and millions of people Pedro.

New ways of living and doing things so we have no choice but to adapt in our own way as individuals.wine

Stay safe and wellwine

I agree with your points. It is quite a shock for the human race 2020 but I read that every 100 odd year for whatever reason there was a type of virus/plague. The spainish flu.....the black death.....ect.....our ancestors put up with all these problems too in a different type way.wave

I sleep in and then excercise to make up for it, crazy, i have my Diy projects on the house to occupy my time, but I can't get used to separation from my loved ones, of course many people are in this position or worse. One thing is for sure, I will never take some people for granted ever.

It seems people are too relaxed wanting to go back to their old ways. Our numbers are climbing as masks are not being used, people are visiting and not distancing, going into places with coughing and sneezing going on.

well, yesterday there was a forbidden demonstration in the Hague, the Netherlands. It was against the social distancing. Now the virus is under control, or so it seems, they want their normal lives back.

But because there were very much people arriving the major decided to allow it for a few hours.

Also football-hooligans were arriving with a large group. They wanted to cause trouble, and so they did.
Finally the police arrested over 400 people.

I think it's good that we still have social distancing, at the moment we see many companies having financial problems, especially pubs, some went bankrupt allready and one pubowner saw no other solution than setting his pub onfire, he died in the flames.

If we stop the social distancing now, we might have a new outbreak, with a new lock-down. The economy can't survive that.
Allready many people have lost their jobs or will loose it later this year or maybe early next year.
So, to the people protesting I would say: Think before you act.

It must be really difficult for people cooped up in apartments with no balconies and only dull concrete buildings outside their windows... and more so if they've children. The cohort I really feel sorry for are those who have older children with serious mental health issues and were normally attending day care...or those with seriously ill children who need constant attention and can't get a break because home help's stopped....

Personally I'd rather not have had to stay home 24/7 but, that said, I've little to complain about.

With a few exceptions, I think Ireland and the Irish have been absolutely brilliant. The gardai have been so good to so many people as have all the postmen and women who've been a godsend to the elderly. The local Centras and small shop keepers. The amount of people who're helping others out with grocery shopping/deliveries etc/ The notices on walls and telegraph poles with mobile numbers in case you need help..., they all make me proud to be Irish and I think the Government did us proud too. They didn't start bickering with each other, they put the people's interests before that of business and they didn't leave anyone homeless on the streets either....

Ireland may have it's problems, but when our backs are to the wall....we're a great little country...heart wings

Life on my farm as a recluse hasn't changed much. I see people reacting as to their true nature. Those who are kind are and those who seek harm use this new norm as an excuse.
I think when all is said and done, life will return to the same pattern. Good will lessen and bad will too.
Complacency and boredom are the issues now. I see it too. At least at home. My boarder has been on medical leave so I have gotten lax about sanitizing the kitchen and being in the same room with him. Now he is back to work around other people, I will have to get back in the mode of avoidance.
One issue is people like me who have not known anyone with Covid. So all we have to go on are stories and numbers on the TV. Then you though in bored teens and young people, hot summer days and caution is thrown out the window.dancing banana wine
It is like a dog who is kicked all the time. After awhile he sees it as normal and dodges and goes on his way. Whatever.yawn
I miss resale shops and going to a box store or a restaurant. Think about it. But, slap myself along side my head and say, get over it!thumbs down scold
