It's probably safe to say that MOST psychiatric units are NOT haunted buildings and equally safe to report factually that their residents experience all manner of mental disturbances including delusions of visitation by all manner of entities...
There's a famous case reported where Grinder and Bandler challenged psychiatrists 'Give us your worst case' A local institution invited them to come and visit Jesus - a man who'd been resident there for many years.
They showed up with a pen, pad and a measuring tape and asked the man 'how tall are you ?' (he answered and they wrote it down on the pad)
They then asked him to stand with arms outstretched and measured finger tips to fingertips ... and wrote it down.
They went away and returned with some timber ...
'Jesus' came across and asked 'What are you doing my sons?'
Bandler looked him in the eye and said " You ARE Jesus ... The Christ, right ?'
'Jesus' replied ' Yes, I am...'
Grinder replied 'Then you don;t need ask - you KNOW what we're doing!'
Was it a miracle or just a spontaneous cure followed as the guy shed his robes and screamed his real name as he fled ?

In some of the abandoned insane asylums that were left in the US ( excluding CS of course ) they use to allow new students entering the forensics field into a few of these buildings to see what they could find. Like Byberry Mental Hospital whereafter it was closed satanic cults, gangs, etc., occupied the area and a few murders are still in the database being unsolved. It's probably one of the worse and lots of history.

I saw one of these buildings and the atmosphere was definitely more than just scary. You could feel it in the air and visually disturbing. Religious people with me seemed to have the most problems and yet the place was full of evidence from the past.
