Truth. I stopped smoking decades ago because it made me stupid and paranoid. I do miss the days of driving on the LIE (Long Island Expressway) rolling a joint with one hand to get ready for the Midtown Tunnel. Or rolling one on the LIRR (Long Island Railroad) when heading for a concert at Madison Square Garden.
Speaking of which, I miss the creativity and originality of the music.

Two other entities, Taiwan and Kosovo, are recognized by some but not all members of the United Nations.
germanspitz: My brother and best friend Philip who died at 35
hello lovie—so sorry for that. I was a rather timid, “awkward-at-fitting-in teen and young adult, but I had this tremendous best friend from grade- school on. He was possibly the gentlest, most unassuming person I’ve ever known. When we were in our late twenties, he suddenly developed an inoperable brain tumor and died...I’ve never gotten over it. Didn’t mean to go on, but wanted you to know how much I care about your feelings because of the same empathy.
