i don’t know the law in Jamaica, but here (Oregon) that behavior could be interpreted as hostile, and therefore, harassment. At the very least, he is being passive-aggressive, “reminding” you of his authority over you; your security in your own home is at HIS discretion, etc...he does not sound like a very good person. But, hey, even here, renting is a compromise. You are always at someone else’s prerogative when they own the real estate. Take a number and stand in line. The gold mine owner wins.
